Following my work in 2013 in the rehearsals of El Pimiento Verdi I was invited back to photograph the following, and indeed final play by Albert Boadella at Teatros del Canal in Madrid (before dedicating himself to, let’s say, other projects.) This final play was called ‘Ensayando Don Juan’ and was itself set in rehearsals for the classic Spanish play ‘Don Juan Tenorio’. It was written for and starred veteran actor Arturo Fernández. I again photographed over several months in rehearsals and later behind the scenes and backstage, and a further fifty photographs were exhibited at the theatre throughout the play’s run.
